On Saturday September 13th, Michael Watkins and Stefan Mangnus were clothed with the Dominican habit in a private ceremony at Blackfriars, Cambridge, supported by fellow members of the Dominican Family. Michael, who graduated this summer from St Andrews with a degree in Philosophy and Mathematics, was clothed for the English Province by its Provincial, Fr John Farrell OP, while Stefan, who has been a full-time pastoral worker in the Netherlands, was clothed for the Dutch Province by its Provincial, Fr Rene Dinklo OP. Before the clothing itself, they first prostrated on the floor of the chapel. Asked by the Provincials what they were seeking, they answered ‘God’s mercy and yours’.
